Al LeClair is a loving and caring parent just like any other. But in 2008, Al’s world was shattered when he received the dreadful news that his 22 month old daughter had leukemia. This diagnosis was followed by months of ups and downs, worry, and treatments. But most of all, Al and his family were filled with hope.
I couldn’t think of a better way to commemorate the 5 year cancer-free milestone than crossing the finish line at the San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in June of 2013! My friend and I joined Team in Training (TNT) and committed ourselves to training for a daunting 42.2km run and raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC).
