Power Team Member: Noreen Remtulla

So I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro last year... what's the next big challenge!?

This year, I'm supporting a 3-year-old "superhero" who was diagnosed with leukemia last year by raising funds for LLSC while conquering a personal challenge.

What could be bigger than climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro!?

This year, I've got a new challenge...to run 10K in the Edmonton Police Foundation Half Marathon on April 26, 2015 while raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

Just a few months ago, I found out a friend's child was diagnosed with Leukemia.
Three-year-old Aaryan is an upbeat and energetic kid -- I was even at the hospital the day he was born!

When the LLSC approached me to be part of the, "Power Team" after they saw my article as a Top 40 Under 40 in Edmonton's Avenue Magazine, all I could think about was little Aaryan.

It took some convincing that I could do a 10K run...and here I am now, making a difference.

Just a month before my scheduled race, I found out my cousin in Ontario was diagnosed with an aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLSC’s mission and give other children a chance in their battle with blood cancers.
