Survivor leads Team on a mission to fight cancer and to celebrate life
"I owe my life to decades of research and scientific advances, and the fundraising that made it possible."
William Brock was diagnosed with leukemia in 2004, almost 7 years to the day after his father's own diagnosis back in 1997. Sadly his father passed a short 5 weeks after diagnosis. William's fate took a different path; he is making every day count by leading the Run4Life Team to San Diego.
"We all need to work together so blood cancers can be beaten, and so many others can be as fortunate as I am.
I invite Canadians to join teamintraining.ca to provide hope and inspiration."
- William Brock, Montreal leukemia survivor
Last October, Team Run4Life participated in the inaugural Rock 'n' Roll Brooklyn Half Marathon. Sixteen participants raised $47,000 for the LLSC, supporting blood cancer patients across Canada. This year, Bill and his San Diego Team have set a goal of $100,000!
