Where to start? we got the news on October 12, 2011 – a date that will be forever engraved in our memory. On this day, we learned that our young son raphaël, who was seven months at the time, had acute myeloid leukemia.

Since his big brother, Éliot, was a perfect match, raphaël underwent a bone marrow transplant on march 9, 2012. The transplant was not successful, and Éliot had to make a second donation to his little brother.

On april 24, we left the hospital. the treatments and the transplant included in the initial treatment protocol were over. We spent almost two months at home trying to recover from the “adventure” of the previous six months. then, on June 26, after a series of crucial tests and 100 days after the transplant, we learned that the disease was still there.

We were having a relapse. w enow have a new way of looking at life and, especially, a different perspective on what we consider to be problems.
